Description
Do you know how digital technologies can be used in healthcare to improve people’s lives? We want to hear what you think! What will Bayer look like in 2030?
Digitalization is taking place everywhere and affects all of us. If we look at Bayer, we ask ourselves how we can capitalize on the opportunities that arise from digitalization. What effects do you think all these new digital technologies will have? And how can they be leveraged in health care to improve people’s lives?

Your project may fit into one of the following categories:
Blockchain
When it comes to fascinating digital technologies, blockchain undeniably plays a key role. Do you think that, if used correctly, blockchain could replace pharmacies or accounting in the future? Could blockchain be an as yet unidentified way of preventing product privacy and black markets? For that matter – do you have an idea about how blockchain could facilitate the selling of Rx (medical prescription) or BTC (behind the counter) products for the consumer and Bayer?
What springs to mind when you hear the word blockchain in conjunction with Bayer?
Machine learning
Another particularly exciting subject is machine learning. The idea of cognitive artificial intelligence sounds simple yet revolutionary. However, its application at Bayer is proving to be more difficult than expected, and is not fully exhausted at the present stage. Have you got an idea for a new deployment of machine learning in everyday work? Could machine learning perhaps improve data quality, automatic processes or even flexible pricing strategies? Could machine learning enable real-time auditing, a development that would greatly simplify our day-to-day work?
What ideas do you associate with machine learning and Bayer?
Wearables and apps
Wearables and/or apps also play an important role when it comes to digitalization. There are already a host of innovations on the market, but we believe that there is still room for pioneering ideas. Imagine the next e-health wearable and/or app. Wouldn't it be great to invent a “meta or hyper app”, for instance, that collects all relevant health data to generate a digital twin? What might this digital twin look like? How could these data be managed securely? Or something completely different: Is it possible to switch from Rx (medical prescription) to OTC (over the counter) products via smart packaging?
Imagine the next e-health wearable or app. Let your creativity inspire you!
Genomics
The application of genomics may lead to a paradigm shift in approaches to and work in health care. Considering Bayer as a Life Science company, how can we use genomics in times of digitalization to improve patients’ wellbeing? What about the effect of digitalization on genomics data? Might precision medicine disrupt pharma? Perhaps precision medicine could also help trigger a shift from system orientation to patient-centricity. Another point to consider is how a pharmaceutical company makes individual medication affordable.
Do you have new ideas for the future of genomics?
