Being photographers ourselves we became frustrated with the number of Photography/Art competition sites around taking in lots of money with the only real prize a being a claim to promote the winners works through "an online presence" yet most them do not even provide an active link to the winners page. On top of that where is all that money going? Definitely not to the Artists and Photographers where it belongs.
The bottom line for us is the bottom line, this site is about and set up to support you!
Our Winners own 50% of this operation as 50% of all entry fees are paid out to the them every month, the rest of the entry fees go to our judges and operational costs.
There is so much talent out there, capturing amazing images from every country on the planet. We truly want to help the world find it, reward them, share it and above all help to promote Photographers professionally.

No matter where we are nature is present. From the depths of a tropical rain forest to a small garden in the middle of a city, our life here is totally dependent its beautiful rhythms, seasons and fragile balance. Show us your best frames and moments found in the nature around you! Show us your best frames and moments of the glorious nature that keeps our world filled with life, color and beauty! Works will be selected based on creativity, quality of execution and uniqueness of vision. The work can be expressed from realism to abstraction.Your Copyright and Moral Rights
The Motif Collective respects Your rights and does not claim copyright for works You submit to this contest, You will retain full copyright in each entry. In addition your moral rights are respected and whenever your work is published by The Motif Collective You will be credited. Failure to publish a credit due to error or oversight shall not be deemed a breach of this condition.
Judging
Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, composition, technical ability, originality, interpretation of the theme. The judges' decision is final and unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted. Feedback will not be provided except as noted on the specific Competition Submission form.
Each entrant will be judged based on the creative merit of the image submitted and three entries will be selected to become the winners.
Winners will be notified within 7 days of their award and prize by email.
All prizes will be awarded to the person named on the entry.
Winners and Shortlisted images will be published in the Motif Gallery.
Award Money
All Awards will be transferred to winners via a Paypal account, no other means of payment will be considered. Any fees incurred during foreign currency transfers may be deducted from the winning amount. All winners will be notified within 7 days of contest closing dates and will have 45 days to provide The Motif Collective with a valid PayPal address for awards distribution. Multiple emails (weekly) will be sent to non-respondents and if after 45 days no response is provided that Individuals Award will be forfeited.
Sponsor Prizes
Most of our sponsor prizes will be award-able on an international level, if they are not we will add a notification to the awards listings on the Motif site pages. Sponsor prizes are not required to be used by the winners if they do not have an interest or a need in the offering and they are non-transferable to a party other than the Motif winner. In the event that we have a repeat first place winner who has already won Sponsor Software that is part of the current prize package we may move that prize to another one of winners for that month.

DAWNA MOORE
Dawna became interested in photography began when she was very young and shooting with a Fischer Price 110 film camera. "During family events and gatherings, I was always the one behind the lens capturing the moment, but I never really learned how my camera worked or the art of photography. After a trip to Europe in 2008, where all of my photos came out horrible, I decided to learn the skills needed to capture beautiful images. I have been on the journey ever since and loving every minute of it! "

James is an amazing photographer who has experimented with all types of photography but enjoys nature and night photography the most. He recently joined Gene Phillips another great imager to form a Commercial Photography Company, Corporate-Exposures, LLC working out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Working from the Isle of Wight, Jason has been around a while, he existed in the days before the internet, digital cameras, and the only photos he took back then were to be used a reference, to gather ideas and colours and compositions for what was his real passion as an artist, or a 'painter'.

Michael Spicer is an Environmental Fine Art Photographer and his wonderful work encompasses portraits, landscapes, and environmental abstracts taken during his travels across the United States and around the world in over 25 countries. Michael offers some wonderful workshops in Northeast Florida, his Amelia Island Photography Workshops which are scheduled throughout the year and can also be arranged for small groups while visiting Amelia Island.

Stephan R. Leimberg was the 2008 International Nikon - Popular Photography Mentor Series Grand Prize Winner. He is an exhibiting member of the Amelia Island Art Association and the Omni Plantation Guild and Gallery located in Northeast Florida.
