ND AWARDS OVERVIEW

ND Awards aims to promote photography and photographers. Our idea is to create new opportunities to present most valuable work to the audiences all over the world. To build a place where photographers can show different points of view and thrive through competition. Our judging panel will comprise highly acclaimed industry professionals, including: gallery owners, publishers, editors and renowned photographers.

PRIZES

Neutral Density Photography Awards announces the following prizes in the 2017 edition:

Professionals:
* Grand Prize: ND Photographer of the year Award and $2500
* 6 Category Winners and $500 for each category winner
* Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in subcategories

Non-professionals:
* Grand Prize: ND Discovery of the year Award and $1300
* 5 Category Winners and $300 for each category winner
* Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in subcategories

PROFESSIONAL CATEGORIES

Six main categories: Advertising, Architecture, Editorial, Fine Art, Nature, People.

NON-PROFESSIONAL CATEGORIES

Five main categories: Architecture, Fine Art, Nature, People, Special.

ENTRY FEES

Entry fees cover the cost of prizes, administration and promotion. You can pay by PayPal or Credit/Debit Card. All payments are processed in US currency.

JUDGING

All entries will be rated individually by an esteemed panel of international judges, including: gallery owners, publishers, editors and renowned photographers.

By entering the ND Awards 2017 Competition you accept these Terms and Conditions.

PREPARING THE FILES

Photographs must be resized to maximum 1024 pixels on the longest side (minimum 600px width). They must be saved as JPEG file (JPG).
Prepare your files with the following specifications:

sRGB or Adobe98 colour space, 8-bit; 
Longest dimension should not exceed 1024 pixels; (minimum 600px width)
Saved as a JPEG at a setting of 10 (100%) or higher. 
No Watermarks / Copyright Units / Logos on images 
Only bleed photographs without borders 

NAMING THE FILES

The filename must contain your full name, for example: LastName_FirstName.jpg

ND AWARDS 2017 CATEGORIES INFO

Categories are in two sections: Professional and Non-professional. There is no limit to the number of individual images or image series each photographer may submit. You may enter all your images into 1 Category, or any of the 30 sub-categories. You may also enter the same image into as many categories as you wish. Your photos will be rated individually by an esteemed panel of international judges, including: gallery owners, publishers, editors and renowned photographers.
Winners of each subcategory will be awarded with: Golden Star, Silver Star and Bronze Star awards. 
Entrants with the highest final score within each category will be announced the category’s winner. 
6 winners of each Professional category will receive $500.
5 winners of each Non-Professional category will receive $300.
The entrants with the highest final score in Professional and Non-Professional level of expertise will be announced the major prize winners ($2500 and $1300) with the titles: Photographer of the Year and Discovery of the Year.
