To Hull Back is a humorous short story competition, celebrating funny stories and open to anyone residing anywhere on the planet. The competition runs annually and offers the greatest prize in the known macrocosm.

The winner receives a cash prize of £1,000. In addition to that, their face will appear on the cover of the To Hull And Back Anthology. They will be depicted riding a flaming motorcycle, clutching a quill of wrath. They will also be offered the opportunity to star in a video, filming their copy of the book being strapped to the handlebars of Harley Davidson and ridden on a 500 mile round trip to Hull. And then back again.

There are 20 cash prizes in total for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 3 x highly commended and 14 x shortlisted. All 20 stories appear in the anthology.

To Hull And Back was set up to support humorous writing and develop a platform to celebrate it from. It's been running for years and I hope that will become decades.
