The Quad 2017: “Quad”, short for “Quadrangle”, is one term for the public square at the center of a college campus. It’s a space to take naps in the grass on a sunny day, throw a Frisbee with friends, or where inspirational lectures are given on a warm spring afternoon. QUAD 2017 is seeking design proposals that capture the essence of social sustainability by addressing the various factors contributing to the three pillars of sustainability: Environment, Economy and Equity.

Skycity Challenge 17: Sky City envisions a world that purposefully uses it’s technology and communications for the best support of the environment and people, which allows all life to be in thriving harmony together. Hoyel Lab: More than an innovation contest Here at Eurostars Hotels we are committed to development. For this first edition, we set ourselves a new challenge: to reinvent the concept of a hotel. To do so, we created Eurostars Hotel Lab, our 1st Hotel Space Innovation and Design Contest. 52nd Central Glass Competition: Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition will contribute to the development of the architectural world through the competition. We wish this competition will be an opportunity to think of desirable society and environment at the present day in which pursuit of economic efficiency and rationality as well as preservation of natural environment and conservation of historic and traditional culture is required.

The 44th Nisshin Kogyo Architectural Design Competition: Bridging means connecting two points that are separated by something between them. The original meaning of bridging is linearly connecting something by crossing over a gap like a bridge. Words such as braces, heat bridges, bridge circuits and guitar bridges are all derived from the original meaning.　We hope to see architecture take a role in connecting space, time, and people while constructing rich environments.

We can see the building as it is with all the details. At the same time, it remains virtual model. These properties are augmented reality give us new opportunities. For example, we can compare the buildings from different regions of the world, from different eras in the same scale. We can make collections of buildings, unimaginable compositions.
